The SM7dB features a Shure-designed built-in mic-pre, giving it the flexibility to be used with any XLR interface. Providing up to +28 dB of gain, the preamp retains the microphone's frequency response and continues its signature sound. All you need is an audio interface or mixing console that provides +48V phantom power to operate this mic preamp. Don't need a phonophone? Flip the switch to the left to bypass the amplifier and gain the performance of the original SM7B.
