Professional open-back reference headphones, extending bass and precise midrange for superior all-around performance in demanding audio productions. The fully open design doesn't restrict airflow, eliminates internal resonance, and provides rapid transient response. Dedicated 45mm large-aperture drivers utilize rare-earth magnets and copper-clad aluminum wire voice coils. High-efficiency magnets reduce distortion, ensuring accurate and extended high-frequency response. An acoustically transparent aluminum honeycomb mesh shell provides natural and spacious open-back sound. A lightweight design of only 207 grams ensures comfortable wear for extended periods. Includes 3.0m and 1.2m detachable straight cables with Ø2.5mm connectors and Ø3.5mm gold-plated stereo mini plugs. Accessories include a Ø6.3mm adapter and a carrying case.

The ATH-R50x uses a pure open-back design that allows unrestricted airflow, which helps to eliminate internal resonance and provide a natural, uncolored sound directly from the drivers. 

Drivers: The headphones feature newly engineered 45mm drivers, based on those in the higher-end ATH-R70xa model, designed to deliver surprisingly powerful bass for an open-back design, while maintaining clarity in the midrange.

Comfort: Weighing only approximately 207 grams (without cable), the ATH-R50x are very lightweight. They feature a new headband design and soft, replaceable velour earpads for enhanced comfort during long listening sessions.

Durability: The construction is durable and metal-reinforced, with earcups made from a blend of ABS and polycarbonate plastic.
Connectivity: The headphones include two detachable single-sided cables (1.2m and 3.0m) with a 2.5mm twist-lock connector at the left earcup. They also come with a 6.3mm stereo adapter and a protective pouch.
