Wireless version of Clear MG
Clear MG is Focal's only model that uses a magnesium M-type spherical unit. Above it is the flagship open-back headphone Utopia, which uses a pure beryllium M-type spherical unit. This time, the manufacturer used the open Clear MG as a model and added successful elements from Bathys to create the Bathys MG.
Bathys MG not only has the magnesium metal M-type spherical unit of Clear MG, but also has the same sound performance. Clear MG is an open-back home headphone. Although Bathys MG is a closed-back design, the degree of openness is very similar. With active noise reduction, Bluetooth wireless transmission, USB DAC and other functions, users can enjoy high-end HiFi-level sound quality that was originally only available indoors when traveling around the city or even across continents.

Bathys MG also inherits the plasticity of Clear MG. Simply through the EQ function of the Focal & Naim app, you can set a variety of custom EQs according to personal preferences and music types, and switch according to your mood and audio type, making your music enjoyment richer and more exciting. In order to unleash more power of the new unit, Focal has added the Customized Listening personalized EQ function. It only takes a few minutes of testing for Bathys MG to analyze the user's hearing characteristics and then come up with an adjustable EQ: the purpose is to allow every user to truly enjoy the Focal sound through the frequency band compensated by the EQ.

Bathys MG refers to the magnesium and aluminum metal components of Clear MG, using Chestnut chestnut color, which is both light, strong and textured. The premium leather headband and ear pads are beautifully crafted to provide a softer and more comfortable wearing feel. The Bathys in Bathys MG is derived from the word "Bathyscaphe", which means a deep-sea exploration ship. The Bluetooth specification of Bathys MG has been updated to 5.2. It also corresponds to high-definition transmission encoding such as aptX Adaptive and aptX. Bluetooth transmission and active noise reduction are activated simultaneously, and the battery is enough to run for more than 30 hours. When using the USB DAC function (supports up to 24bit/192kHz) and active noise cancellation, the playback time increases to 42 hours. If it has a 3.5mm TRS wired analog input, it also has 35 hours of battery life. In addition, the fast charging function allows the Bathys MG to get 5 hours of power with just 15 minutes of charging.
Built-in high-definition decoding
Bathys also has a USB-DAC decoding function. It can be connected to mobile phones, tablets and computers via a USB-C cable. With the built-in support for up to 24bit/192kHz sampling rate decoding, you can enjoy high-specification music in the machine or on streaming music platforms. So this is not only a wireless headset, it is also a headphone with built-in decoding function. It is worth mentioning that the active noise reduction function can be used even in different connection methods.
